PNW

Based in Vancouver, Theory-3 tends to cycle the epic stashes of Whistler, Mt. Baker and the BC interior. Given last season's snow bounty, it's little wonder the filmmakers make another dedicated lap through these areas in the form of PNW (that stands or Pacific Northwest dummy). The Pacific Northwest is mellower than most ski destinations, and the soundtrack for PNW sets the vibe for some exceptional footage. Superb cinematography and tight editing keep the action flowing, though it seems some lines are chopped to keep things moving. Once again James Heim charges epic pow, drop sick illows and airs it out in the backcountry. Other standouts include PY Leblanc rippin it like in the days of old and Kevin Hjertaas's fluid style on sketchy lines. Joe Schuster hits thepark and greases some rails before throwing some floaty airs in the backcountry; Brandon Kelly puts in a superb overall performance of rails, airs and pow; and Ian McIntosh and Justin Dorey make outstanding but disappointlingly short appearances. For those wholike a little geographic insight, the footage will leave you guessing which steep 'n' deep locale you're at. In the similar pacific Northwestm they're all happily similar.
