SEVEN SUNNY DAYS

Do you really need a review to decide if you should buy the latest MSP film? Not really. Mike Douglas' POV leaves you gasping for air and gives a hint of what it's like to be a ski stud. Eric Hjorleifson cements his place as one of the planet's best skiers with an epic performance. When Canada's big moutain rockers are done ruling it, the film moves on to the now standard sphincter-puckering jup session at Whistler Blackcomb, where Amba, Jon Olsson, TJ Schiller, Sammy Carlson and Simon Dumont are all impressive. New Guy Colby West blows minds with his camera work, accents and suprise skiing. Add with a somewhat overdone 007 escape segment, mind blowing footage of base jumping with wing suits, and a peek at Ingrid Backstrom's bruised ass-check, how can you miss? Gone from the DVD is the second "athlete-edited" version. Bummer? Not if you buck up for the limited-edition version that includes a super-slick 75 page book-easily the sharpest packaging ever for a ski film 9 (except perhaps, the one included in a six-pack). The book provides behind-the-scenes insight and includes chapters by Shane McConkey, Ingrid Backstrom, and C.R. Johnson.
